TBIC 2nd Annual Inventor’s Fair

St. Petersburg, FL- Inventor’s from across the state will be presenting their ideas, prototypes and products at the St. Petersburg Pier during the 2^nd Annual Tampa Bay Inventor’s Fair on Saturday, February 28^th from 10am-4pm. Admission is free and will be held on the first floor.

The Tampa Bay Inventors Council is bringing together some of the great minds from across the state to showcase their ingenuity while encouraging others to invent the next great idea. Inventors will be available to answer questions about their inventions, give demonstrations and assist you with your ideas while they compete for awards. Awards will be given in categories ranging from electronics to apparel.

Inventors wishing to join us should contact admin@tbic.us . Inventor club members can demonstrate their innovations free and nonmembers pay only $10. No sales are allowed at the fair but we welcome positive contacts for all inventors to help promote innovation!

Welcome 2009 1st TBIC meeting

2009 may be the year of change but some things will stay the same.
To that point we begin the year by talking about turning your innovative product into a successful business. Should you incorporate? Make a business plan? How do you position your self to look for funding? Our first guest of the year will help you figure it all out.
Jim Turner of Turner Consulting will join us on January 14th at 7pm to give you some advice to move you forward. Jim has written over 40 business plans, helped launch several start-up companies and knows the names and faces of several funding companies. He has been a pioneer of emerging technology and has the arrows to prove it. Jim will talk about his successes and failures and give you the take-away points to learn from the experience.
