The ABC's of IP at our 12/12/12 Meeting of TBIC
Now that patent law has changed, it is more important than ever to craft a strong patent early on. To do this you must be aware of your wording and how to protect your idea the best you can. That is why TBIC is pleased to invite Daniel Messick, Business Development Director for TAEUS International and Managing Director, Oakes Partners LLC, to discuss the intrinsic merits and limitations of a patent or portfolio of patents, including identifying voids where it may be necessary to create or acquire assets. This discussion will highlight inventor strategies to plan their patent efforts. Daniel will also discuss Reverse Engineering / Landscape Analysis and Freedom to Operate Studies.
Daniel Messick has over twenty years experience helping companies extract investment value from intellectual property in situations such as growth, acquisition, and technological change. Daniel is currently a member of the Licensing Executives Society, has served as Chairman of the Board of the Health Research Institute, Inc., and is a past member of the American Society for Training and Development and the International Society for Performance Improvement.
TAEUS offers IP analysis and engineering services for a range of applications including patent screening, patent landscape analysis, patent portfolio mining, brokering, prior art search, freedom to operate studies and litigation support.
This is sure to be great opportunity to learn about intellectual property and how you can make it work for you. Be sure to join us for the last TBIC inventors meeting of the year! Join us December 12th, or 12/12/12 and and learn to make your ideas work for you!
